Classes continue to run on-line Monday-Friday.
Arden Language Centre runs a free weekly homework club for children from grade 2 to 12. This is an opportunity to have your child get one-on-one tutoring.

Arden Language Centre’s Goal is to equip Newcomers to Canada with the language tools necessary to reach their employment, social and educational goals.
Arden Language Centre is a Christian response to a need in the community as we are the only full-time ESL (English as a Second Language) program in the Grey-Bruce area.
Using the Cambridge Ventures program, teachers focus on all four areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Here what our students and volunteers are saying.
“I like to study at Arden for several reasons. First, it is a very organized program. Also, the teachers really focus on how to improve your English and the school is ran by amazing people. Even though I thought it was supposed to be to learn basic English it isn’t Several students have graduated from there and have gone to college. I am one of the students who have been in the program for 3 years and I was unable to say even my name correctly. And now I am able to understand and speak with people. IT really is a good centre to learn English!”Nour
“My name is Farid. I am one of about 50 students from the Arden school. I came to Canada as a refugee seeking a better life. We are fortunate to have come to the most beautiful country in the world and to make it even better I had a chance to study ESL. I started going to Arden to learn English. At first, I thought it would be difficult because I did not know anything but the alphabet. But, I was lucky to meet David and Andy and the great volunteers. The way in which the lessons were explained was wonderful and the teachers were nice and kind with us. I remember them all – and I remember that the teacher was so proud of me when I made the first sentence by myself. He was very happy.
The most interesting part was that when we finished the lessons we used to go with the teachers to practice what we had learned in the class by talking to people in public places. The purpose of this was to build self-confidence and learn our errors in pronunciation and work to overcome it. Teachers used to tell me, if you want to learn, you will learn. You must review the lessons you have learned during the day at school.
After 2 years of studying hard I felt I could rely on myself and find a permanent job. All this was thanks to the efforts of David and Andy Foster and the volunteers who are working hard to help build this community.”Farid
“I studied at Arden and it was the best school. The teachers were excellent and helpful. They really treated me well. They not only taught the students English but also gave them practical help as well. I think this is why students do so well that go there. Arden provides excellent opportunities for students to get a good education. I love my school!”Hajer
